This is a sketch I’ve taken quite a long time on – I want to do a large scale painting of this, and this is part of the preparation (taking a break from F1 cars for a bit, when I’ve finished my current piece). The sketch is based on three separate images. The spokes are going to be tedious, but I understand the geometry now, so that’ll take some of the sting out of it. I think I may have the front wheel slightly off, so I’ll be looking into that… I’ll be attending British Car day next month, where I’ll be doing some sketching, but I’ll also be photographing these to ensure I’ve got the details correct.
