I’m a little late getting around to this sketch. This was a car I saw when I was visiting Rome last year, and it amazed me. The reason for my amazement was that it was an exceedingly beat up example that was obviously still in regular use. Where I live (in Toronto, Canada) one typicallyContinue reading “Fiat 500, Rome”

A quick sketch of a Lagonda – again – from British Car Day…
E Type Detail, British Car Day 2014
Another sketch from this year’s British Car Day…
Campo Santa Margherita, Venice
This was the first sketch I did on the trip to Italy… I think the lack of practice shows! Royal Enfield
Another sketch from the Wacom tablet. Still a little shakier than I would like, and I’m still having a little trouble getting used to the parallax issue – but I’m much happier with this than the Datsun…!
Sketch and Rendering for “GP Evolved”
This is a sketch and rendering that I produced for a fellow blogger who runs a site called “GP Evolved”. It is a site that documents the history of F1 in a race by race fashion, and is really worth a visit. You can visit it at gpevolved.com
LP 400 concept – side
Another sketch for the Lamborghini concept. This is a bit too bog-standard for my liking, but pure side views have a way of diminishing the drama of a sketch. Think I’ll try a more dramatic angle next and see how that pans out…
The rough and the smooth – The SMOOTH
Overlay of the previous drawing. Not perfect – car could be “wider”… still quite happy with the result. Total time spent on both drawings – about 1.25 hours. Reference taken from screen.
Austin Healey Sprite
Another sketch from this year’s British car day. This was a lovely off-white/cream 1959 bug-eye sprite.
E Type Interior
Another sketch from “British Car Day” – or “How to spend an entire evening on a drawing you meant to take 20 minutes, while single-handedly contributing to an ink shortage in your area…”
