Sorry guys – no cartoon this week. For technical reasons, I have been unable to actually watch the race – and I can’t really do a cartoon from reading race reports. A real pain this is – first F1 race I’ve missed in decades…

Trying to make up for lost time… here is the original sketch – almost feels as though I’ve done a post a day for the past week now – eh??? 🙂

Thought it was worth posting this too – this give you an idea of the technique I used – overlayed the sketch and simply starting layering in opaque and semi-opaque brushstrokes, using , for the most part, “hard” brushes” and the odd “soft” smudge blend (especially in the grill).

Sketched this a while back after the British car day, and thought it was an interesting subject – so I decided to give this a “photoshop paint” … took far too long on it, but am happy with the result.
