A Healey and several beheaded viewers at British Car Day 2016… 🙂

Alfa, Italian Car Day
Another sketch on the new Muji Sketch pad, this one limited to verithin pencil. I think a better result. This was a beautiful, single owner Alfa Romeo 2600 at Italian car day. I made sure that I parked my car about 3 cars away from this… 🙂
Ferrari, Italian Car day
Got a new sketchbook from Muji which I quite like, craft paper as you can see. Did this sketch of a lovely Ferrari 308 GTB from Italian car Day 2016, but am a little unhappy with it. Love the paper, but I used Payne’s Gray for the tone which was a mistake, and then triedContinue reading “Ferrari, Italian Car day”
Italian Car Day 2016, Alfa GTV
This is a beautiful GTV – I’ve seen this one before as it belongs to the gentleman who sold me my Spider. Even when I was looking at the Spider, my eye kept drifting over to this car (though it wasn’t for sale). This car is really, really, sharp… just mouth watering.
Quick Sketch…
A very quick sketch of the unlikely – a Jaguar Mk II with a Hawker Harrier behind it. Only at Brooklands… 🙂
Mustang at Street Classics Cruise Night
Went to the Cruise Night at the Canadian Tire on the Queensway last Saturday – lots of interesting stuff there. Most of the cars were American though there was another Alfa, a couple of Jags, an MG and a Mini and a Mercedes 560SL… A good evening. Met one of my students there and he educatedContinue reading “Mustang at Street Classics Cruise Night”
Fiat Spider in progress
Another sketch from the garage where my Alfa had its bodywork done. I got the car back last week, and they guys did a beautiful job on the dent and gave the car a clay bar treatment which really brought up the look of the pain beautifully. And it’s sunny out – I’m off forContinue reading “Fiat Spider in progress”
Fiat 500 in progress
Another car in the works at Ricci Collision – this one a lovely Fiat 500 in (now) pristine condition, that looks like it only needs the wheels to be added to go… First marker rendering I’ve done in a bit. Thought it might be a little quicker than the usual line work I do –Continue reading “Fiat 500 in progress”
Alfa Romeo GTV
Remember the dent my Alfa Spider received? Well, I’ve got it in the shop for repairs now. I was concerned that the work be done correctly, so sought advice from my mechanic who sent me to “Ricci Collision” Their garage was reassuringly full of old Alfas and Fiats (amongst others) in various states of progress. Thanks toContinue reading “Alfa Romeo GTV”
Italians in a garage
An old Fiat under a Duetto. This is what I found when I took my Alfa in for service. Reassuring.
