2014 Mercedes F1 concept/fantasy

…another F1 car rendering. For this one I wanted to evoke something of the 1950’s W156 and the much earlier W154, W125s; very difficult because of the great gulf of time/technology between now and then (and the fact the older cars were front-engined). Anyway, I had a lash at it and this is the result – a little more mid-90s Indycar than I would have expected but there you are.

I left sponsorship off this as I wanted it to be a “Silver Arrow” – not a “Petronas Silver Arrow” – and hey – Mercedes should be able to get by without the sponsorship, no? After all – they don’t have to pay Ross Brawn anymore… 😉
