BMW 801 Radial Engine (detail)
To see this in person is to be beguiled by the amazing complexity of the engine. Drawn from a photograph taken at the BMW museum in Munich.

May 1
Hard to believe that it’s been 19 years… I know I’d promised a Messerschmitt today, but I’d forgotten the date. Tomorrow.
TR6 Concept (TR9?)
A quick sketch of a car I’d like to see updated… I’m pretty sure that this was one of the cars upon which the Miata (Mazda MX5) was based – but, although I love the Miata, it lacks the hairy chested brutishness of the TR6… and thus, this offering…
D-Type Photoshop, in progress

Fangio won 2 championships with this car – but this comes with an hugeContinue reading “Fangio, Maserati”
Fangio Mercedes
First pencil sketch in a while – and I’ve buggered it up quite comprehensively… I think the drawing is reasonably good, but I worked on the wrong vellum and dragged the heel of my hand all over the drawing making a real mess, which needed to be cleaned up in both analog and digital formats.Continue reading “Fangio Mercedes”
